When you browse a page
Every page request passes through our web host, which writes a log line: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from and your browser and device type. We read these logs to fix broken pages and to block bots that flood the site with requests.
When you write to us
When you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, any name you sign with and the message itself. A correction request may come with a screenshot; we use it only to check the page in question. Please leave out phone numbers, bank details and identity documents. We cannot use them and will delete them.
Cookies and analytics
Our pages set no cookies while you read; we checked this on 13.10.2026 in a fresh browser. The site is served through Cloudflare, whose Web Analytics script counts page views, device types and approximate country in totals without cookies. We never see analytics visitor by visitor. Partner links and what 1win learns
Links to 1win on our pages carry a partner tracking code. When you click one, the partner link service at rg.1winsnigeria.ng records the click with one technical cookie valid for about a day, and 1win learns that the visit came from 1winsnigeria.ng. If you then open an account, the referral is credited to us. How this funds the site is set out in our statement on partner commission.
We do not receive your 1win login, phone number, balance, payment details or game history. Once you are on 1win, its own policy applies. During our check of 1win.ng on 08.10.2026, the 1win footer linked a Privacy Policy and showed an “NDP Act 2023 Audit Compliant 2024” mark; read that policy to see how the operator treats verification documents and payment data.
Grounds for each use
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
- Emails: you contacted us and asked us to act.
- Analytics: our legitimate interest in knowing which guides are read; it uses no cookies and no visitor-level data.
- Partner-link tracking: our legitimate interest in being paid for referrals. You can avoid it by typing the 1win address yourself instead of clicking our links.
Who processes data for us
Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs, and Cloudflare carries traffic to the site and provides the analytics totals. An email provider carries messages sent to our address. The affiliate programme receives the click data described above. Some of these providers may keep data on servers outside Nigeria; in that case we rely on the transfer safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 allows, such as contractual data-protection commitments. We disclose data to a public authority only when Nigerian law or a lawful order requires it.
How long we keep it
Server logs are deleted on the hosting provider’s rotation schedule. Analytics is kept only as totals. An email is kept only as long as the question and any follow-up need it; if it led to a correction, we keep it as the record of why the page changed.
Your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
What you can ask for
The Act lets you ask whether we hold data about you and receive a copy, have inaccurate data corrected, have data deleted once we no longer need it, restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and receive data you gave us in a common format so it can be passed to another controller. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for example by deleting analytics cookies. We make no decisions about readers by automated means alone.
How to send a request
Email [email protected] with “Data request” in the subject line, the right you want to use and the email address you wrote to us from. We may ask one question to confirm the request is yours. Requests are free. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Readers under 18
The site is written for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
